May Showers!

May seemed to be the month of on and off showers.  But we still had fun with lots of indoor play dates.

 Hayden and Megan like to wear each other out and then go to bed early, help give their mommies a break.

 Lyla was nice enough to give Hayden a ride on her car, then Hayden turned around to return the favor when Lyla wanted to ride.  But what the picture doesn't show is Hayden cant walk yet at this point so Lyla went forward and Hayden held on until she stretched too far and fell down.

Next was my first Mother's Day and it was great.  Daddy and Hayden made mommy her favorite breakfast: swedish pancakes and bacon!!!!  Then we all went on a long walk with the dogs and then went on a wine tour of one of the local vineyards.  It was a great day.  Hayden and Evan gave me a Kindle Touch, which I had been thinking about for a long time. And Daddy gave me a whole day of no diaper changing!!!!

The next day, Hayden and I packed up and headed to Virginia to see Auntie Kristin!!!  We were having soo much fun we stayed all day until after dinner.  

 We also met up with Farmor,Wystan, Liz, Conor and the newest Benbow Eoin for a trip to the DC zoo.  It was a great day in DC.

 Hayden loved all the animals (at least the ones she stayed awake to see).  We would hold her up and she would point at them and talk away.

 Memorial Weekend was a fun filled weekend with friends.  Justin and Lauren came down from CT to see us for the weekend.  While the boys hit golf balls at the driving range, Lauren and I took Hayden to the Little Gym grand opening party and Lyla's first Birthday Party.  Hayden got her first set of signatures from two of the the minor league Frederick Keys baseball players and their mascot.

 They also spent alot of time watching the big kids.

 Next we headed to the birthday party.  Hayden and Megan loved the ball pit - can you tell.

Smile Lyla, she was such a lady, just picked pieces of the cake up little by little and then put them on her tray.  Hayden tried to encourage her to dig in, but she was having fun. 

 After the parties, we all headed to the baseball game.  This time Hayden made it all the way through to the end.  And once again she supported Uncle Brad with her Loons shirt!!!

Next came Evan and Justin's favorite thing - the smoker, we had smoked pork and boy did Hayden love it :):)  Only her second meat (Chicken was the first just the week before)

 Once again the ball pit was a big hit, the girls just love it!!!!  Lyla liked to throw the balls for Nikki and Samson to go fetch, but they were too busy searching for scraps on the floor. 

Hayden still just is not too sure about her friend Megan's dad, for whatever reason unless he is giving her food, she just cries at him. 

May was also filled with some pretty big moments for Hayden.  She learned how to go from army crawling to regular crawling and that was the end of mommy having any rest :):).  She has learned how to pull herself up using her activity table, coffee table, couch just about anything.  She can somewhat walk along the edges sideways.  And she found the stairs, luckily she thinks there are only two then a landing, she has not realized there are more after the landing and I hope to keep it that way for now.

8 Months and army crawling_April!

April was an exciting month.  Hayden really started moving with the army crawling.  She also finished up her first set of swimming lessons and was a little fish in the water.  Always kicking and arms out, she will get to practice all that she learned this summer at the pool in our neighborhood.  You can see her jumping off the wall with daddy and going under the water - no tears :)  My big girl!

Hayden is also still enjoying gym class alot and just loves it when we do flips around the house.  She just laughs and laughs. 

Hayden went to her first local minor league baseball game.  And of course in honor of Uncle Brad she wore her Loons shirt with pride!!

 It was a little cold for the start of the game so Hayden stayed snuggled up next to mommy.

 Hayden made it all the way to the top of the 8th inning before she decided it was time to head home.

Wayland's family came to Baltimore for a weekend and Hayden got to see her cousins for a night.  Hayden was a little shy at first but then she warmed up by the end of dinner.

 Hayden let Ginny give her a bottle for dinner.

She is just growing up too fast for me, where did all the time go, but such a cutie pie!!!!
